• any other scarce and critical skills as informed by the ELM needs

Who can apply

• Be a South African citizen
• Reside within Emfuleni Local Municipality area, in Gauteng province
• Be have completed Matric with a minimum overall average of 60%
• Be entering your 1st year of full-time undergraduate study in 2027
• Have applied/ been accepted to study at a university or other institution of higher learning in South Africa
• Have a total household income of NOT more than R350 000 per annum
• Not be receiving any other bursary funding
• Preference will be given to students from disadvantaged family backgrounds, and families registered on indigent database categories will be given first preference
• Preference will be given to students enolling at local institutions of higher learning

Documents you will need

• ID document (certified copy)
• Matric certificate/ statement of results (certified copy)
• Mid-year results (certified copy)
• Proof of application/ admission to a tertiary institution, with projected study duration, course scope and tuition costs
• Proof of residence: Emfuleni Local Municipality Utility Bill (certified copy)
• Parents or guardians proof of income (latest payslips if employed: certified copies, affidavit if unemployed)
• Testimonial letter from your high school where you Matriculated
