SA Chefs Bryan Montgomery Bursary Fund

Who can apply

• Be a South African citizen and be residing permanently in South Africa
• Be between 18 and 25 years old
• Have completed Matric or a recognised equivalent qualification
• Be currently enrolled in a recognised culinary training program, at a SA Chefs Skills Development Provider Member institution
• Be studying towards a course that has a minimum duration of 12 months
• Intend on pursuing a career in professional cookery
• Be or become an SA Chefs Member once enrolled at the culinary school

Documents you will need

• ID document (certified copy)
• Acceptance letter from the Culinary Institution
• Motivational letter from your principal or lecturer (on school letterhead)

   Make sure you meet every requirement listed above. Applications that miss one are usually rejected automatically.

2. Prepare your documents

   Scan clear copies of everything the provider asks for, certified where required.

   Note: there is no application form to be completed for this bursary application – students need only submit the list of documents below to apply.

4. Submit before the closing date

   Usually closes around February. Late applications are almost never accepted.
