If you want to become a teacher, the national Funza Lushaka bursary is the main source of funding. It pays for a B.Ed degree in priority subjects, and in return you teach at a public school for the same number of years you were funded.
Provincial education departments, mining and energy companies and several trusts also fund teaching qualifications, especially for Maths, Science and early childhood education.
