International Scholarships

International scholarships let South Africans study abroad, usually at postgraduate level. Government programmes such as Chevening (UK), Fulbright (USA), Australia Awards and the Kader Asmal Fellowship (Ireland) are fully funded and very competitive.

Start preparing a year in advance: you will need references, a strong personal statement and, for some awards, an admission offer from the overseas university.
