Law bursaries are offered by commercial law firms, the Legal Practitioners’ Fidelity Fund, trusts and universities. Most fund LLB students from second year onwards, and the top firms look for averages of 65% to 70% or higher.
Law firm bursaries often come with a place on a vacation programme and can lead to articles at the firm. Some awards target specific universities or areas of law, such as human rights or intellectual property.
