Who can apply

• Be a South African citizen
• Be between 18 and 35 years old
• Reside within Mpumalanga province
• Have completed Matric
• Be studying or intend on studying towards a qualification within one of the fields of study listed above, in 2025
• Be studying or registered to study at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution within Mpumalanga
• Not be receiving NSFAS or any other bursary awards
• Be in financial need
• Be ambitious
• Be self-motivated

Documents you will need

• ID document (certified copy)
• Matric certificate (certified copy)
• Full academic record, if already studying
• Proof of registration at a tertiary institution in Mpumalanga, for 2025
• Tuition statement/ quotation statement showing 2025 academic year fees
• Proof of institutions banking details for bursary payment (certified copy)
• Proof of residence
• Affidavit from the police station showing that your parents or guardians are unemployed or low-income earners

   Make sure you meet every requirement listed above. Applications that miss one are usually rejected automatically.

2. Prepare your documents

   Scan clear copies of everything the provider asks for, certified where required.

3. Apply through the official channel

   Note: there is no application form to be completed for this bursary application – students need only submit the list of documents below to apply.

4. Submit before the closing date

   Usually closes around May. Late applications are almost never accepted.
